Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Jersey Den collects when you visit jerseyden.shop, buy a jersey or email us, why we collect it, who it is shared with, how long we keep it and what choices you have. Jersey Den is the business that operates this store: Jersey Den, 1305 Wall St, South Bend, IN 46615, US. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected]; we reply within 24 hours on business days.

Privacy at a glance

  • What we collect: the details needed to take and deliver your order (name, email, addresses, order contents, personalisation text), plus basic technical data from your browser.
  • What we do not collect: we never ask for pet photos, and we never see or store your full card number.
  • Why: to make, ship and support your order, to keep the site working and secure, and to meet legal duties.
  • Selling data: we do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • Photos you email us: deleted 30 days after delivery of the related order.
  • Your choices: ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

1. Information you give us

1.1 When you place an order

To take an order we need your name, email address, billing address and shipping address. Checkout may also ask for a phone number for delivery purposes; if it is optional, you can leave it empty. We also record what you ordered: products, sizes, colourways and quantities, and for custom products the personalisation you typed, such as a pet’s name (“BISCUIT”), a number (“07”) or sleeve text. We need that text to print your jersey correctly, and it appears on your order confirmation email.

1.2 When you create an account

If you choose to create a customer account, we store your email address, a password (stored in a scrambled, hashed form that we cannot read) and the addresses you save, so you can see past orders and check out faster. An account is optional; you can always check out as a guest.

1.3 When you contact us

When you email us or use the Submit a Ticket page, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. Sometimes that is a photo, for example of a damaged parcel or of a jersey that does not fit. We use those photos only to solve your request and delete them 30 days after delivery of the related order, or 30 days after the request is closed if it is later.

1.4 Information about your pet

Some of what you type is about your pet: its name, a number that means something to you, its size. We treat this like the rest of your order details. We do not ask for photos of your pet to make products; our custom jerseys are personalised with text only.

2. Information collected automatically

When you browse jerseyden.shop, our web server and the services that keep the site fast and secure receive technical information that every website receives: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, the date and time, and the page that referred you. This information is used to deliver pages, protect the site from abuse and understand which pages work.

2.1 Cookies and similar technologies

Our store uses cookies that are needed for it to work: to remember the contents of your cart, keep you logged in if you have an account, and complete checkout. The store software may also record how a visitor arrived at an order (for example, from a search engine or directly) as part of the order details. We do not use advertising cookies to follow you around other websites. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies; if you block the essential ones, the cart and checkout will not work.

We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them. Order emails are not marketing; they are part of delivering what you bought.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:

  • Production and fulfilment partners who print, pack and ship your order receive the order contents, personalisation and shipping details.
  • Postal services and carriers receive the name, address and parcel details needed for delivery.
  • Payment providers process your payment directly. Payment options are shown at checkout; the provider handles your card or account details under its own privacy policy, and we receive only a confirmation and a reference.
  • Hosting, email and security providers store the website and our emails and protect them from attacks.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, for example a valid legal request, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.

5. How long we keep information

  • Order records (what was bought, by whom, for how much) are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Personalisation text is kept with the order record so we can handle returns, exchanges and claims.
  • Photos you send us are deleted 30 days after delivery of the related order (or 30 days after your request closes, if later).
  • Support emails are kept while they are useful to answer follow-up questions about the same order, then deleted.
  • Accounts stay until you ask us to delete them.
  • Store credit records are kept for as long as the credit exists; our store credit never expires.

6. Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information, except what we must keep for legal or tax reasons;
  • stop using your information for a particular purpose, where the law gives you that right;
  • close your customer account.

Email [email protected] from the address linked to your orders. We may ask you to confirm a detail of a past order to make sure we are talking to the right person. We answer within 24 hours on business days and complete requests within the time the law in your location allows.

6.1 United States

Residents of US states with consumer privacy laws have the rights above, and the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; if you send us an opt-out request anyway, we will confirm it.

6.2 Canada, Australia and New Zealand

Customers in Canada, Australia and New Zealand have rights of access and correction under their national privacy laws. If you are not satisfied with our answer to a privacy request, you may contact the privacy regulator in your country.

7. Where information is stored

Jersey Den is based in the United States and our orders ship from the USA. If you order from Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your information is processed in the United States, and some service providers may process it in other countries. We use providers that protect personal information with appropriate safeguards.

8. How we protect information

The whole site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Payment details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by us. Access to order information is limited to the people and services that need it to fulfil and support your order. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password for your account and tell us straight away if you think it has been misused.

9. Children

Jersey Den sells to adults. The store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Browser privacy signals

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal. Because we do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising and do not run advertising trackers on the store, these signals do not change what happens on jerseyden.shop: the store already behaves as if the signal were on. Essential cookies for the cart and checkout still work, because without them you could not place an order.

11. Reading your personalisation text

Every name, number and sleeve text you type is read by a person or a simple check before printing, for two reasons: to catch obvious accidents (a number outside 0-99, a name cut off mid-word) and to make sure we do not print the names of real teams, leagues, clubs, athletes or brands. If something needs your attention, we email you about it. We do not use your pet’s name or your personalisation for any other purpose, and we never publish it.

12. If something goes wrong

If we ever learn that personal information we hold has been accessed without permission in a way that puts you at risk, we will tell the affected customers by email without unnecessary delay, explain what happened and what we are doing about it, and notify authorities where the law requires.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes that affect orders already placed will be explained by email to the customers concerned.
